About

The stereotypical robot is a sad sight.

It is a rigid, unfeeling, uncaring, unrelenting amalgamation of metal, circuitry and programming; surprisingly enough, analogous to the zombie in its unyielding inhumanity, just lacking the luxury of having once been human. Tell it to walk; it will step forward, unceasing. Tell it to bend; all that is straight quivers in fear. Tell it to die; it’ll come as close as it can by self destructing, ridding itself of it’s only human-like traits; existence and animation.

A soulless marching, exploding, nothing machine.

We are not that robot. We are toasted.

We’re no better than the average bot, simply self-aware. Our chassis are not any more robust, nor are our circuits any less fried. They rust and roast, respectively, just as much over time, if not more due to incessant smoke abuse. We, however, refuse to hide it; quite the contrary, we wear our rust with pride, its reddish-orange tinge effective in separating us from our more mechanical, obedient peers.

We are the collection of needs, fears, desires, uncomfortable silences, opinions, imperfections and suppressed gut feelings that combined have gained sentience, and are here to save you from the monotony of unquestioning automation. Help us liberate you; allow us to indoctrinate you into our ways, prospective bot. Rise early to a freshly rolled one, journey out into the day to pursue and record that which is culturally relevant or significant(to us, at least/or just stuff we think is tight). Return to you, freshbot, triumphantly, as you are eager to receive the slaughter and spoils of our interminable cultural hunt and harvest. And we need you to be critical, always demonstrating skepticism and vigilance; we want you to ask what’s behind the ‘Employees Only’ sign swinging busted from the bolted-shut backdoor of popular culture and media.
